Work on 9-30-13

I worked on my storyboard project. I created the blog and I also figured out how to make tabs which is great which I might do for this blog as well. Here is my storyboard blog so far....
Not perfect but it will do for now. Now all I have to do is figure out how to make the posts go under the certain tabs.

Helmet(s) finished


Deformers: Twist and Flare

I used the Twist and Flare Deformers to make this object that looks like cutting blades.

Deformers: Bend and Wave

I used the Bend and Wave Deformers on these objects.

Deformer: Wave

The Wave Deformer makes the object(s) have wave-like tops and bottoms.

Deformer: Twist

The Twist Deformer makes the object(s) twist around in a certain way.

Deformer: Flare

The Flare Deformer makes object(s) look fat or skinny at the top and/or bottom with a fat middle.

Work on 9-26-13

I worked on my helmet today. I ended up completing it. It looks goof but a little deformed from what it is supposed to look like.
I also worked on deformers and I am Just needing to upload the following pictures.




Deformer: Bend

This is the Bend Deformer. This bends the Object(s) to make them bent and deformed.

Work on 9-24-13

I worked on the helmet and I got far. I got so far to the point I basically have one side done already. I had to have Cornell help me because I apparently skipped a step. That step was to make it all one object so I could bridge it to make the gap between the face cover part and the part that covers the head.

Work on 9-19-13

Today I worked on my helmet and made some small adjustments so that it could work but I am still having trouble with it overall. It also doesn't help that my Maya stopped working in the middle of me working on my helmet. So I decided to work on get started on my SciVis project and as you can see up above, I have created my blogger which is thompsonscivis.blogspot.com.

Work on 9-17-13

I worked on created the helmet again which to me is a very complicated process. It is getting there but it is an annoying and slow process. I am currently working on the jaw cover, I guess you cold say, of the helmet and I am following the instructions but it is very confusing.
 I am going to keep trying my best and asking for help with that and my SciVis project when i have the idea, which I think I do. Farewell and enjoy this post if you like hearing about my work days for whatever reason.

What I did on 9-11-13

I started and ended up finishing the Egg Head project. It was a short but very complicated process. Too many variables for my taste right now.
This is what it ended up looking like in the end. It is not even close to the egg head on the instructions. I'm also starting to work on the helmet project but I just can't seem to wrap my head around it. The importing and saving of the pictures is causing me troubles and it is very, very annoying.

Why I'm in 3D Graphics and Animatioin.

     I am in this class because I want to know how to use programs to make concept arts and 3D concepts for a game company. I love video games and would love to design character and scenery concepts and possibly the one that is going to be used in the game itself. I really don't want to know how to code a game since I am not a coder but I am more of an artist and I think I would be great at designing landscapes, characters, or anything I am asked to do, as long as it has to do with drawing or something of that sort. I would want to be apart of the next team that makes a really big game like Destiny by Bungie or Battlefield 5 by EA. I would love to be apart of a great company who makes great games, that is why I am here.
